As we find ourselves in the middle of October, we are rapidly approaching the threshold of the season of transformation and Samhain, the most alchemical night of the year. October 31, commonly known as Halloween or All-Hallows Eve, marks the beginning of the darkest and most holy season of purification and magik making. The veils are thin, the ancestors are near and the old must die for the new to be born.

The time between Samhain and Yule (Winter Solstice), when the nights keep getting longer, is a potent, yet liminal time that offers a great opportunity for purification and letting go. As the Earth in the Northern Hemisphere comes to stillness, it is the ideal time for reflection and renewal:

Why are we here? How can we best serve the purpose of our Soul here on Earth? What needs to be released for us to fully step into our power?
